Christmas party 1977

Christmas started early for 55 old folk from Harlaston and Edingale. They sat down for a turkey supper, with all the trimmings, at the new village hall on Saturday.

The annual party has been organised for the last 10 years by the Old People's welfare Committee, which holds fund-raising events throughout the year.

Entertainment on Saturday was provided by "Daisy Chain" group from Rolleston-on-Dove. Competition prizes were won by Mrs. Garland, Mrs Penlington, Mr. Wilcox, and Mr. Leedham.
