When the new houses were built on Manor Lane in 1948, Nancy and Peter were the first people to move in and No. 7 remained the family home until about 5 years before her passing as ill health required Nancy to leave the village to go into care.

Nancy was a devoted supporter of St. Matthews Church, serving on the Parochial Church Council for many years, helping on the cleaning and brasses rota, providing altar flowers, weeding the flower beds and she could always be found in the kitchen helping to serve teas and coffees. She also delivered the Parish Magazines in Manor Lane.

During the years, she had been a member of the Mothers' Union and Women's Institute. She loved her garden and was very knowlegable about plants and flowers.

Her favourite program was The Archers, which she listened to every day.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
