Minutes of the committee meeting held on Thursday 10th April 2018

The meeting started at 8.00 pm

1.   Apologies were received from Hal Jupp, Mark Harrison, Clive Mahoney and Aubrey Clarke

2.   Minutes of the last meeting were read and signed.

3.   Chairman’s report. The chairman thanked all of the committee for their help during the last year.

4.   Treasurer’s report. The treasurer was unable to attend the meeting but he asked Michael Grove to convey his thoughts that we need more members to keep the finances close to break-even point and he suggested that we advertise for new members at all the other bowling clubs that are visited from now until our next  bowling season.

 Sun 4 November 2018           Round Robin 1.45-6pm

Thu 15 November 2018          Newton Regis home at Harlaston Village Hall 

Sun 25th November 2018        Ladies & Gents Doubles 1.45-6pm

Sun 2nd December 2018          Christmas Social 2pm-6pm

Thu 17th January 2019             Hanbury Away at Hanbury

Sat 26th January 2019             Skittles 7pm-11pm

Thu  7th February 2019           Hanbury home at Harlaston Village Hall

Sun 10th February 2019          Triples 1.45-6pm

Thu 14th February 2019          Newton Regis away at Polesworth

Sun 24th February 2019          Mixed Doubles.1.45-6pm

6.   Any other business -  Roger Nicholls suggested that we use Rightmove to find out any new residents in the local villages and then we contact the residents and let them know that Harlaston Indoor Bowls Club is open for new members.

7.   No future meetings will be held until the Chairman thinks it necessary.

The meeting ended at 9.15
