A few years ago the ladies formed a social committee to help raise funds for St. Matthews. To date there has been such events as a Cricket Match, a Summer Fun Day, Harvest Pie & Pud, Open Gardens etc. The main focus at the moment are the summer cafe's which have helped bring in villagers and visitors from all over, whether they be church goers or not, so it has been hugely gratifying because so many that come to the Cafe love the opportunity of a social get together over a cuppa and cake.
