At Rest

January 11th: Peter Hancock, & Manor Lane. Aged 74 years.

With the passing of Peter we have lost one of the most thoughtful, kind and helpful gentlemen in the village. Many gardens and greenhouses have benefitted from his care and he spent many hours strimming in the churchyard and helping to keep the verges and flower beds in prime condition for the Best Kept Village Competition. He will be sadly missed by many in our village. Our sympathy goes to Nancy, Brian, Sheila, Keith and John and their families.

"Grant him Eternal Rest, O Lord."

The Hancock family would like to thank all of our friends for their support, kindness and help with the sad losss of Peter; your support has been a great comfort to us all. It gives us great pride in knowing he had many friends throughout the Mease Valley Parishes and beyond, and was held in great affection by you all.

So far £390 hass been kindly donated in his memory; this will equally split between St Giles Hospice and the British Heart Foundation.

Special thanks to Mary and Eric Tiso, Evan Mercer, Stan Richardson, Anne North and Rev. Alan Wheale whose help has been greatly appreciated.
